20 Nov “TANGIBLE CLOUD”
Now that the project “TANGIBLE CLOUD” has come to an end, we want to share the group reflection we created together. It has been an intense experience filled with personal growth and learning, and the following text sums up everything we discovered and how it changed our understanding of the digital world and its impact.
As a group, we learned to view artificial intelligence and the digital world in a much more conscious way. We discovered the enormous environmental impact of data, data centers, and everyday use of technology, understanding that every stored file and every interaction with AI consumes energy and natural resources. In the workshops—especially at Tangible Cloud—we were able to measure our own digital impact, delete unnecessary files, and understand how these actions reduce our ecological footprint.
During our experience in Guadeloupe, surrounded by nature and a multicultural environment, we saw the importance of maintaining our devices responsibly, extending their useful life, and adopting more sustainable digital practices. We also reflected on the materials needed to manufacture technology and the social and environmental consequences of its
production.
In addition to learning about the environment, we grew personally: we improved our English, strengthened our teamwork, and gained confidence in communicating and collaborating with people from different countries.
This experience helped us open our minds, broaden our perspectives, and better understand how technological innovation can and should be more respectful of the planet. Overall, this project made us more aware, more responsible, and more committed to a sustainable future.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus + program.
